Setting the volume to arbitrary position from the bottom volume bar jumps to 100%, but it seems to be only cosmetic.

Dragging the volume bar instead tapping once on a location may retain chosen volume, although not every time.

Checking wpctl status reports the volume was actually set to the chosen position on the volume bar even it jumps back to 100% in the UI.

This behavior was observed on Upsquared board with latest master.

During dev-call discussion, scottm  shared this observation with raspberrypi4 and is probably caused due to a race condition.
