Without a BT device, the settings app would timeout in roughly 15 seconds, without any feedback indication. Hooking a BT makes it start almost instantly so there's definitely something related to the way the application retrieves BT information. 

Task to investigation if that timeout could be decreased to something more reasonable to just a few seconds.
