[porter][chinook] Radio crashes/causes kernel panic

Description

I just flashed my Porter with the latest Chinook release, baked with agl-demo agl-appfw-smack agl-devel agl-sota

After I installed all apps, I started up the radio app, selected 100.5, hit the play button, and got a kernel panic

I rebooted the Porter and tried it again, this time I got a second of audio, and the following warning:

The app also appeared to "crash" as the screen went blank (no UI, had to go home and start up radio app again)

Looking at journalctl at around that time, right after the kernel warning:

I started up the radio app again and went to the desired station, hit play, and it seems to work now, although the sound has a high pitched whine

Hi

The same kernel error was reported media ML[1]. The patch [2] is not apply the porter kernel 3.10, so I apply and the issue is resolved our side.
It is the bug of rtl tuner driver.
As simply checking, I do test using "rtl_test" command. When the patch is not apply, the kernel panic is happened at 5-7 times. Though, after the patch apply, 10 times of rtl_test OK.
Of course, it looks like good about radio app.

Could you please try on your side ?

Is there someone from the Renesas BSP team that would be more appropriate to investigate this?
