Having a separate launcher and homescreen makes little sense as it imposes additional IPC.
launcher should be integrated into homescreen by importing the corresponding QML and adapting the application accordingly.

Closing since there's not really any justification for putting the effort into rework of the Qt demo applications at this point. If a project to redo them for landscape or with Qt6 comes up, it can be considered again.
