Contacts and recents broken in latest master

Description

During the latest test cycle on master branch, the contacts and recents in Phone app are not syncing. This seems to be caused by issue with obex.

Barring the issue with iOS reported in https://lf-automotivelinux.atlassian.net/browse/SPEC-3346#icft=SPEC-3346, I can confirm it worked for me here with an Android phone with latest master pre-next merge.  I'm going to test again with latest master as well.
