Audio corking issues when making calls with HFP

Won't Fix

Description

While making calls using a paired phone, I observe the following audio corking (or lack thereof) issues that seem related to Wireplumber policy:

  • If I play BT A2DP audio in the mediaplayer and pause it before making a call with the Phone app, it will not play audio when unpaused.  If I switch to local media playback and then back to BT A2DP again, it starts working again.

  • If I have audio playing in the mediaplayer and make a call with the Phone app, the mediaplayer is not corked, but plays over the phone audio.

  • If I make a call using the Phone app, on the first call it connects and I hear audio from the callee side, but on subsequent calls there is no audio from the callee side.

If you want separate issues opened for these usecases, let me know and I'll do so.

Since the telephony demo no longer works due to app fw removal and the updates to PipeWirem closing this issue. Can create a new issue if and when the telephony demo app is restored.

I don't think we're necessarily going to be in a position to know exactly until we have a telephony demo pieced back together...

I 've create https://lf-automotivelinux.atlassian.net/browse/SPEC-3575#icft=SPEC-3575, to deal with hfp voicealls release bug: after 1st call local audio sink doesnt correctly reproduce a2dp audio streaming or audio for consecutive voice calls. I've been debugging the control path on voicecall release, and the release is successful, however on the audio pipeline there's an error when stopping within bluealsa.

spec-3575 applies  to the scenarios described in  points 1 and 3 from this issue (spec-3195) description.
