I agree that we could close this ticket with the current web runtime integration with the compositor. I had already created and specifically for the CEF part.

I think we can declare victory on this issue since we have something working in Koi and open new issues for anything that we find. For CEF I would definitely use a different ticket.

do you think this still makes sense to keep this open? I mean wrt to using CEF you'd still need something similar explained here as to keep track of multiple surfaces from a single instance or maybe that allows to gain access directly to the wayland connection? Should I assign this to you?
