Thanks for the creation of the html5-mixer repo. However, I'm not sure I have permissions on it to be able to push the intial set of patches from the github repository. Could I get temporary superpowers to be able to do that? Should we do it in some different way?

In a similar way as for  or SPEC-2758 , we would need "superpowers" to be able to push the initial set of patches directly from https://github.com/AGL-web-applications/mixer into https://gerrit.automotivelinux.org/gerrit/#/admin/projects/apps/html5-mixer so the application to be included into the recipe can point to this repository.
