I think this can now be resolved since the update was merged.

it is ready and in review since weeks (https://gerrit.automotivelinux.org/gerrit/c/AGL/meta-agl/+/24133).
There is a perhaps a CI issue. At the end some scripts of CI checking installation of widgets should probably be tuned. Until now I had no chance to discuss the subject with people of QA.

The application framework of AGL manages its widget including their version. It means that the framework distinguishes differents versions as being different applications.
Should this behavior be removed? If yes, a widget will be installed with always the latest version.
