TL-WN722N version 2 not supported

The Netgear WNA1100 appears to work out of the box.

I took a chance and ordered another TL-WN722N from Amazon, and did get a v2.1.  Looking in the latest kernel source, the chipset in it is still not supported by the rtl8xxxu driver.  It might be possible to patch support in in 4.9 or higher kernels, I'll experiment when I get a chance.  Aside from that, other hardware that should work with the ath9k_htc driver is listed here:
