KUKSA.val DBC CAN feeder cannot connect to server

After forward porting the KUKSA.val changes from marlin to master, it was observed that the kuksa-dbc-feeder script to process CAN messages was failing to connect to the server with the error message "Cannot create a client socket with a PROTOCOL_TLS_SERVER context".  This needs to be debugged to have CAN input driving the demo applications work on the master branch.
