raspberrypi4-64 homescreen.service fails to start

Description

After migrating to kirkstone, the raspberrypi4 stopped booting into GUI and HDMI attached display reports no signal.

JSM advised to update the firmware on the rpi4 - it was indeed old, from 2020, but even updating the firmware showed no difference.

attached dmesg and journal logs, taken after the firmware update

I believe this to be resolved with the upgrade to kirkstone 4.0.1 and the HDMI jig being moved to the correct connector in the CI setup, please reopen if you disagree.

v3d.ko.xz -> separate bug, possible in meta-raspberrypi or our config  -> Scott

kmod builds by default with zlib, while the modules are compressed with lzma, once I enabled lzma in kmod, everything seems to be work fine.

The panel still requires using fkms. I suppose some kind of a mention/ that fkms is indeed for the 7'' inch panel should be ok, or do is this something we should be looking into?

PS: I'm still looking to see where modules are using lzma instead of zlib, maybe there's something to can tune from there, thought at first sight haven't seen anything related to module compression.
