How to install Linux app to AGL OS ?

Description

Hi agl

1,   I have a linux app.

2,   My PC install  Virtrual box  tool,  and load AGL image

3,   I want to install a linux app to AGL os,  but I can not find cmd to install or the other method  ?

windows 12 + virtual box + AGL image

You last comment is mean : 

1,  Linux app OR Linux bin can not run in AGL OS,  we must re-build app for AGL SDK for AGL OS

2,  AGL image can not install Linux app OR Linux bin

is OK ?

Hi !

AGL is not a 'traditional' linux distribution. It is built for specific use-cases. Thus to add software you have to re-build. There is no package repository by default.

 

To add your application, you need to create a bitbake recipe for it (check  https://docs.yoctoproject.org ) , add it to the image in question and build a fresh image.

AGL OS runing in Virtual Box,   Now  I want to install a Linux App to this AGL OS

But I can not find any method  (linux cmd , or others)
