Currently AGL HTML5 runtime is based on the Web Application Manager (WAM) which depends on webOS Chromium versions release cycles. It might be interesting to explore the feasibility of having WAM connected to CEF as an alternative to it.
The Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF), is an widely used upstream project that provides a framework to have embedded Chromium interfaces, so if SPEC-3871 was investigated, it could be possible to have WAM depending directly on CEF, allowing some potentially shorter upgrade cycles, and increasing the upstream potential of WAM.
