Login to agl-image-minimal problem

When trying to boot an NXP iMX 8 board with agl-image-minimal build with zeus and jellyfish I cannot log in as root.

When the login prompt appears  after typing “root” in order to log in nothing happens, I do not have the linux prompt. If I try ssh to the board it's the same behavior, after entering “root”  nothing happens.

If I am typing something else instead of root the password is required. When trying Ctrl-C I got  a restart on the Serial Getty as you can see below.
