Syncronising bluetooth contacts against iPhone8 results in segmentation fault.

This failure doesn't manifest when testing against an android phone (samsung s8/android pie). A log for the failure case is attached.

The failure manifests intermittently in the case of the iphone. While pairing against iphone after cold start, the error would manifest every single time when trying to sync contacts; however, after pairing against android phone and successfully obtaining contacts, i tried again with the iphone and this time contacts were successfully transferred and displayed.
