camera image processing - imx8mqevk

Description

Hi,

any references available with agl for image processing on platforms, currently we are using imx8mqevk board with agl up. trying to figure base object detection mechanisms with live camera. Any references would be helpfull. Any related to imx6 ?

As I mentioned, we've been thinking of rework to remove the build cost of opencv for most users, as nothing in the existing profiles or the maintained demos needs it, so there's a good chance you'll need to do something in the future to enable it.

Thanks scott, can you share the link for the sdk OpenCV demos. Thinking of ADAS typed functionality on camera, lidar, radar, IR sensors on imx8mqevk. Will explore the operations feasibility before obtaining safety certifications. Due to the lockdown extension here the work is not as usual, very limited. Will keep posted on the activities planned.

Some people have done simple demos using the opencv framework, which is available in the SDK and images ATM (we've been discussing pulling it out).  If you're intending anything like ADAS type functionality, note that will likely prove problematic if you need to obtain safety certification for the platform (this statement is currently true in general for all embedded Linux systems).
