WM roles for CES demo

Between @Scott Murray on the client/integration side and @Marius Vlad on the compositor side, we need to understand how the existing CES demo uses the WM role/policy framework, and replicate that within the new compositor in order to support the demo usecases.

Is there a relatively straightforward list somewhere of where the existing roles are defined and used? (Apologies for the lack of grep as I don't yet have my workstation back.)
