Thank you for the comments, i checked the disk space after this run, there was enough of the same.

But once, i cleaned up the build and started from scratch, things moved on further.

For now, we can close this issue and i will open one if i come across something similar.

Thank you for the time.

Regards,

Nambi

Hmm ...

/home/vagrant/workspace_agl/build/tmp/work/corei7-64-agl-linux/icu/62.1-r0/recipe-sysroot-native/usr/bin/x86_64-agl-linux/../../libexec/x86_64-agl-linux/gcc/x86_64-agl-linux/8.2.0/ld: islamcal.o: file not recognized: file truncated collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

Out of memory, memory error, disk full, disk error ?  'file truncated' means the content of the file is borked.

Hi Scott and Jan-Simon,

Thank you for the comments. I tried the following.

  1. As suggested by Scott, i setup a container environment with Vagrant and Ubuntu and tried the setup.

  2. Now, i get a different error as follows.

Attached is the log file for the same. I am not sure why this was happening, since i had stopped the setup in the middle and had restarted the same, would this cause such a problem. Please review and comment.

Also, i have restarted the process by removing the build folder and have fired bit_bake again.

Please let me know if you require more information.

Thank you,

Regards,

Nambi

Scott is right. For a proper analysis, please attach this file:

/usr/local/d_drive/agl_yocto_sys/build/tmp/work/x86_64-linux/xmlsec1-native/1.2.26-r0/temp/log.do_configure.20107

The issue is likely due to your host Linux distribution based on this message:

WARNING: Host distribution "opensuseleap-15.2" has not been validated with this version of the build system

I'm re-assigning to in case he has some idea of possible tweaks to build on that version of OpenSUSE.  Otherwise, you may want to try building on one of the supported distributions listed here:

https://www.yoctoproject.org/docs/2.6/ref-manual/ref-manual.html#detailed-supported-distros

One way to do that without a reinstall would be via a container depending on your set up and familiarity with containers.
