No sound output over HDMI on minnowboard and upsquared

Description

No sound output is heard when testing 6.0.5 on minnow and upsquared boards over HDMI.

Audio plays fine from CLI with 4a-play over USB audio card.

All AGL services are running, and 4a-audio logs do not contain any errors.

Issue has been closed too quickly.
I just reopen and resolve it to set right label and Contract ID.

The issue is not observed in the latest builds against 6.0.5 and 7.0.1.

There was a CI image on the website called "agl-demo-platform-crosssdk-intel-corei7-64-20190318224411.rootfs.wic.xz" from last week which contains the bug.

I have a copy of the image if needed.

I finally found a minnow board,

sound through HDMI is working fine as well.

Neither the Mediaplayer nor the 4a-play produce any sound on speakers attached over HDMI.
