Sorry, was scrolling on touch-screen device and have updated the rank unintentionally.

I was trying to follow the documentation for using the docker image builder. And update it if it is necessary or possibile. That was the reason why I tried the patch. But that is also no working. I was just wondering if it is depending on my system and maybe a different os configuration will get it work. But I'm fine with the information that the docker image builder is working again with zeus.

Thank you for your reply.

possibly, but as the fix for the issue is known, I don't believe it's worth testing further on.  Thanks!

Could "LVM2 PV" on the host system be a problem? I have a spare pc that I could use to test it.

So, this is a wic + Docker issue.  It is partially addressed in http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/scripts/lib/wic/filemap.py?id=ca4cdfcd18b4d48e22c9b4ae0af0a4ed8991a6f1 as it makes the error message clear but only properly fixed in http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/scripts/lib/wic/filemap.py?id=b14588a77842f41613bd251165cce5bc95a708ad which provides a fallback so that wic can complete.  At this stage I would recommend we simply leave this as-is until moving to Zeus (which I hope will get this fix eventually) or post-Zeus which will include it.

Won't Fix
