For the AGL Demo units, we added an RTC like

http://wiki.seeedstudio.com/Grove-RTC/

using an usb-to-i2c adaptor board.   Basically we followed http://ahsoftware.de/usb-rtc/  by just plugging hw kits together.  i2c-tiny-usb (or any other i2c board) plus the grove.

The scripts to make it 'autodetect' and push the time 'automagically' are in  https://gerrit.automotivelinux.org/gerrit/#/c/19071/ .

That will do if we cannot use ntp.

Can we close this issue then ?

connam first asks the gateway for available time servers, and it can obtain the time from those. When there isn't one available, NTP cannot be set, and setting FallbackTimeservers is needed.

On eel, NTP is already set on connman and only timezone was incorrect. I've set it by installing tzdata as in https://github.com/webosose/meta-agl-lge/commit/a04ef6820971ad999dd89f39ca0b204c1b1609b4 .
