Using afm-util to update an app doesn't work properly with reboot

XMLWordPrintable

As I work on app development I find myself having to reboot the target hardware before running an updated version of the app. I'm finding the same thing for standard apps.

      1) Run HVAC

      2) Go to home

      3) Remove app: afm-util remove hvac@0.1

HVAC icon remains on home screen (it's uninstalled at this point).

      4) Install modified version: afm-util install /tmp/hvac.wgt (tweaked version)

      5) Click on HVAC or afm-util start hvac@0.1

Either I see the unmodified version or often the app area is blank.

      Reboot and all is well.

I'm looking for a way to update an app without having to reboot.

Also, afm-util kill seems to sometimes cause all apps to lose their ability to display content.
